For a newly constructed 6,300-square-foot home in McMinnville, OR, “Oregon Trail Blend,” a 60-40 mix of Camas Grey basalt and Alpine granite, was chosen to be used throughout the interior and exterior design. The stone was quarried locally and fabricated into random- sized rough-cut square and rectangular blocks, which enhance the overall design of the ranch-style residence that captures sweeping views of the countryside.

ON THE COVER
Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Ga., offers exceptional family-centered care in their facility. To improve the well-being of their patients seeking maternity care, they called on DCO Commercial Floors to assist with the renovation of the Labor and Delivery rooms. The project occurred while the hospital was in use, so extreme attention to detail and proper planning had to be used to execute this makeover. DCO Commercial Floors used American Olean tile in Black Wenge (Infusion series) and Cordial Grey (Rapport series), with Mapei Ultraflex 1 and Epoxy grout to set the materials.
