Locally sourced Rocherons Dore ClairTM limestone from Polycor's quarry in the Burgundy region of France was the stone of choice for the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris. The stone's earthy beige tones, with occasional dashes of pinkish-hued calcite veining, add a subtle color and exceptional elegance to the cultural landmark, which was designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. Learn more about the project, as well as the sustainability of French limestone and how its use connected the Foundation with the community, by turning to the story beginning on page 66. A sleek elegant vibe was achieved in the remodel of a New York City apartment with 6- x 39-inch wood-look porcelain floor tile from Ceramiche Vallelunga & Co's Opus collection running throughout the main living space. In the kitchen, the soft, whitewashed, gray tones of the flooring pair well with a dramatic waterfall countertop fabricated from Super White quartzite with a thickness of 3cm. The quartzite and porcelain floor tile are complemented by an off-set, beveled, mini-brick-shaped 2- x 2-inch marble tile for the main backsplash and an antique beveled mirror tile in an elongated hexagon shape for the backsplash of the bar area. Design by Alena Capra Designs of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Photo by Alan Barry Photography. Turn to page 6 for the full story.

ON THE COVER:
Lunada Bay Tile recently added a new color and two new patterns to its line of Haisen glass tiles. While this exquisite collection is reminiscent of the decorative bowls originally used to wash sake drinking cups during the late Edo to Meiji period in Japan, today "Haisen" recalls vessels that display flower petals floating in water. Lunada Bay Tile's distinctive Haisen tiles are handcrafted by melding streams of colored glass that drift and unite in a multitude of hues. The swirl and flow
of color create transformative moods ranging from quiet and meditative to warm celebration and camaraderie.
