Anna Marie Fanelli of Floor & Decor in Tenafly, NJ, recently completed work on three bathrooms for a home in northern New Jersey, which is featured in the DIY Network series "Rev. Run's Renovation." In the bathroom of oldest son, Diggy, 12- x 24-inch Serenissisma Silver Travertini polished porcelain floor tile is paired with Design Positive 8- x 20-inch Blanc Blanc Brilliant porcelain wall tile. An accent is added with 1/2- x 12-inch Mugwort gray stone pencil trim pieces, which encase Starry Night stone and glass mosaics. The vanity top is made of white Carr- ara marble. Flooring adhesives are challenged far more than ever to perform and provide maximum bond strength for every flooring product made to be glued down. Flooring adhesives are required to perform over wet concrete sub-floors that have elevated pH/Alkali content. Often these issues
far exceed the calcium chloride test levels for moisture vapor emission
specified by flooring manufacturers' and the pH factor of 9.0 as specified in resilient and carpet installation standards.
